Element Partners invests in high-growth companies with innovative clean technology solutions to resource and environmental problems affecting large end-markets. Our areas of focus include energy and power, water and environmental, industrial and manufacturing, and materials and chemicals. We invest primarily in North America, and have investment capabilities in Europe and Asia as part of the DFJ affiliate network which operates in more than 30 cities around the world.

Element seeks to build a portfolio that is diversified by investment stage as well as by technology and end market. Our team has experience in a range of investment structures, from minority equity investments to control and leveraged transactions. Typical investment sizes range from $3-10 million for an early stage financing to $10-30 million for a later-stage investment. Element also has the capacity to lead syndicated rounds which can range from $20 - 100 million or more of total capital. We seek to be active investors in our portfolio companies, often acting as the lead investor for a round of financing, and typically serving on the Board of Directors.
