Michael Bevan

Managing Director

Michael is a co-founder of Element Partners and brings more than 13 years of private equity investment experience to the partnership. Michael is exclusively focused on growth equity and leveraged transactions for Element. His primary areas of investment focus include water purification, wastewater remediation, advanced materials, sensing technologies, advanced fuels, and emissions control and abatement.

Prior to Element, Michael was a Partner at Advent International where he led investments for the firm’s environmental investment practice. While at Advent, Michael also served as acting CFO of one of Advent's portfolio companies. Before Advent, he was a Principal at EnerTech Capital Partners, a firm he helped found in 1995. At EnerTech, Michael also served as acting COO for one of EnerTech’s portfolio companies. Prior to private equity, Michael worked for SEI Investments, holding a variety of business development, product development and sales management positions. While at SEI, he helped manage two business units which increased SEI's assets under management by over $1 billion.

Michael received a BA in English from Denison University and a Masters degree in Business Administration from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
