Paul Feldman
Operating Partner
As an Operating Partner, Paul is responsible for helping to support Element’s investment strategy in the regulated and non-regulated electric markets, including grid management, demand-side management and demand response, infrastructure, and trading.
Paul J. Feldman is a Board Director and Chairman Emeritus of the Midwest ISO, the largest FERC regulated Regional Transmission Organization which manages energy in 16 midcontinent states and a portion of Canada. He serves as System Planning Chairman for this region. He is also an Independent Director of the Western Electricity Reliability Council (WECC, the largest NERC Region) that is responsible for electric reliability in the 14 far west states and parts of Mexico and Canada. He serves as NERC Compliance Committee Chairman for this region. Mr. Feldman was appointed by the Secretary of Energy to serve on the NCC and advise on matters related to electricity. In addition, he serves on several energy company Advisory Boards, including Boeing.
Mr. Feldman began his career with AT&T and Bell Labs where he remained for 20 years in positions of increasing responsibility until leaving as VP of Consumer Products. While at AT&T he held senior positions in marketing, sales, R&D and Manufacturing. After leaving AT&T, he was CEO of 2 large energy companies, founded and sold 2 new ventures in the energy and technology area.
His educational background includes Theology, a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and a Masters in Economics, with advanced work towards a PhD in Econometrics. Additionally, Mr. Feldman was also an Associate Professor at Cleveland State University. He is married to Jeaneen, has 4 children, and resides in Great Falls, VA. His hobby is rock climbing and mountaineering.
